Ugh. My two younger children love Caillou. His voice has got to be the most grating sound in the world.

My son loves caillou… I can’t stand caillou! My husband refuses to let him watch it when he is around. I just hate when he acts all bratty and throws fits over little things. Some episodes are fine and others are just teaching awful behavior. I feel like my son whines more after watching an episode

My son use to love Caillou. Personally I found him annoying and disliked how he treated his little sister.

It seems to be a current theme among us parents, huh?

I think its funny that Caillou receives so much flack considering there are quite a few 4 year old children that act the same way. That said my son loves Caillou and I think he does get irritating after awhile lol. There are a lot of positives to learn from Caillou and negatives as well- but I think that is common for many kids’ shows. I think the idea of a Cailou birthday party is awesome. Even if it wasn’t exactly based on Caillou, there is a lot of fun, hands on stuff for kids to do.

My oldest daugter was obsessed with Caillou wheb she was younger. Even now at 7 it is the only “baby show” (her words, not mine) that she watches with her siblings without complaining. I absolutely love the invitation though. We have to start lookig into that for next year’s birthdays.

GAH, I hate Caillou. I also don’t care for Elmo either, but my son loves him so much, I just tune that annoying, shrill voice out. If your child likes and cares about something, you want them to be happy, so you give in. If my son watched Caillou and loved him, I’d throw a Caillou party too. With my teeth gritted the whole time. =)
