Basil Vodka Lemonade

What kind of basil should I use with lemonade?

Believe it or not there are many different kinds of basil out there but the kind of basil you want to use in any cocktail you create is sweet basil (Italian Basil). It’s easiest to find in the US and it’s easiest to grow. It’s really easy to add basil into any drink but today it’s going to be the star of the show with my lemonade.

Do you have to use an expensive vodka when you make a cocktail?

This is preference more than anything so I’ll give you the diplomatic answer: It depends. If you genuinely love vodka, you’ll know the difference between good vodka and bad or “cheap” vodka. If you know how to make the cocktail then the quality of liquor used won’t matter, at least that’s what I’ve read, but you can decide. I personally don’t think you need to use top shelf vodka for a cocktail, especially if you don’t actually appreciate vodka.

How to make Basil Vodka Lemonade
