Little Sleepy Head Pillow and swaddle review

When it comes to buying things for my children, I usually try to stick to USA made as much as possible. I came across Little Sleepy Head when my daughter started using a pillow in her bed. What first drew me in was that they were made in the USA. They are also a family owned and operating company! How awesome is that?

After reading some reviews for the smaller sized pillow, I purchased that one for my daughter. Now that is she is older, and bigger, I needed to get her a larger pillow. Who also knew that your child needed a certain angle for their neck to sleep? I surely did not, but was pleased to read that their pillows have that just perfect amount of filling for their neck support. As they sleep on it, it will start to conform to exactly how they sleep. They make a smaller size for children 2+, and a youth pillow for bigger children. I got my daughter the youth pillow, and it is the perfect size for her!

First things first, the pillows are washable. Yes, they are washable. This was an amazing bonus for me. I have found that not all regular pillows from the store wash well, but these do great! It also fluffs them up so they are like new again! The outside fabric is a 200 thread count cotton, and it is really soft. They are also hypoallergenic!
In addition, they make pillowcases that go perfectly with them. There is no zipper, buttons or snaps on it. The back has an overlapping flap, and you just put the pillow in there! That way it is not sliding out the end or being taken out by your child. 😉

I had my second child a few months ago, and I quickly became slightly obsessed with blankets and swaddles of any kind. So when I saw that they were making swaddle blankets now, I knew I had to try them out. I must say, I was very impressed. Now, you should wash them before use, but right out of the package they were super soft! Usually in my experience, muslin is not that soft at first until a million washes later. Not these swaddles! Even after I washed them, they just kept getting softer and softer.
